The Drama Dragons program is running a fundraiser! Sometimes, money is a problem for students, which is why we offer scholarships and discounts. However, these scholarships/discounts will not be possible without your support! This is why, for the first time ever, the Drama Dragons are selling custom-made buttons, so you can show off with pride that you’re part of the Dragon family! Here’s a picture of all our options for your gandering pleasure:
Small buttons are $2 each, and large ones are $3!
We’re not known for asking rhetorical questions… but would you like to support a Dragon today? If you are interested in helping us out, contact any current Dragon or Hally Phillips (253-279-8268 or email@example.com), and we’ll let you know how you can help finance this growing business!
P.S. If you don’t want a button but still want to assist us, just click on the PayPal tab on the website and make a donation!
Hello! Friends of The Drama Dragons,
Sew N So is open! I am working an on-the-side business for repairing clothes/costumes. I find that nowadays, not enough people know how to mend, and instead, they end up throwing away or donating their damaged clothing.
Have a tear in your pants? I can help! My name is Hally, and I can mend your expensive clothes. Need a pair of pants hemmed or a skirt? I can repair holes, reattach buttons, replace snaps, zippers, and fix pulls in sweaters; replace elastic (take it in or let it out); freshen up an old outfit; or build a new costume. I’ve worked in the theatre business as a costumer for almost 20 years. I offer reasonable rates, bulk discounts, at-home pick-up and delivery in Pierce and Thurston Counties. I work fast, so you can usually expect a one-week turnaround!
If you’re interested in my services, please contact me at:
We had stage combat practice today, in preparation for the Trojan War. We also practiced sword-fighting with pencils, though pictures were not taken of that. The pictures below showcase only the punching… we learned many more moves than that, including gut-punching, hair-pulling, foot-stomping, and face-slapping.
The Drama Dragons’ character party went very well! We ate food, played around, and even read the radio play script, Planet Man. Here are some pictures:
From left to right, we have Jim Halpert, Sandra Dee “Sandy” Olsson, Dwight Schrute, Scarecrow, Mad Hatter, Happy the Dwarf, Thalia Grace, Will Treaty, Peter Pevensie, Skeleton Thing, King Kip, and Dementor.
Well, our Drama Dragons, Stage Centaurs, and Stage Gryffins classes have officially started as of last week. We had a great time getting to know new faces and mourning the loss of old ones.
If you are still interested in checking us out, please drop by on either a Thursday (for Centaurs) or a Friday (for Gryffins and Dragons) to get more information about the classes and see how we do things. It is open enrollment until mid-October, and if you’re just a visitor, your first class is free.
As a note, the younger group, Performing Pixies, have been changed to the elementary-age Stage Gryffins, depending on who shows up to the next few classes. This will mean an alteration in lessons and subject matter, gearing them toward a slightly older age group with performances in the Spring.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at: 253-279-8268 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Hello, my Drama Dragons, Pixies, and Centaurs families!
If you are not a member of this awesome group, please consider this your personal invitation to come check us out! September is almost here! With our first classes just around the corner, I’ve been busy preparing lessons, looking for new students and looking for new scripts. Since we have three classes, I’ll give this to you in three pieces. Here we go:
Drama Dragons Parents… Hey Oh! Our first class will be held on September 8th at 1:00pm – 3:00pm at Faith Presbyterian Church (for the exact address, see our website). This class is every Friday afternoon from September to late spring with holiday breaks. Parents of new recruits (or hatchlings) are encouraged to attend this class ,there will be given an orientation into what we do as Dragons. Unfortunately, I have to raise tuition to $55 a month, due to cost circumstances. There will also be a one-time supply fee, this continues to grant us quality printing, supplies, costumes and props for our productions.
Stage Centaurs Parents… Hearken! On Thursday, September 7th, we will be having our first class, which will also include a parent meeting to discuss this session needs, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at the Bonds’ farm (see the address on our website). This class is every Thursday afternoon from September to late spring with holiday breaks. On this first class we will discuss an overall view of what this session would like to accomplish. As with all my classes, I have changed to a monthly tuition with a small be increased, it’s now $45 monthly. There will also be a one-time supply fee to ensure we have what is needed to have a successful class.
Performing Pixies Parents… Howdy! We will be having our first class/parent meeting on September 8th at Faith Presbyterian Church (see our website for the address) from 11:00am – 12:30pm. We will continue to follow the format of stories, games and crafts, I am open to change the age range, if you have been with me before your student’s place is assured; no one over the age of 10 will be able to attend this class. Unfortunately, I need to raised tuition to $45 a month, along with the one time supply fee for the session.
Please know that scholarships and multi-sibling discounts are still available.
If you have any questions, please let me know as soon as possible so I may provide you with answers! See you all in a month!
P.S. Here’s a picture of our fliers for y’all to print and hand out:
Summer Dragons 2017 was great! Since all of the actors had been to camp before, we burned through the script surprisingly quickly. We finished 10 scenes of blocking on the first day, and by day three, we had fully blocked the entire show! The actors worked their tails off and still had time for fun and games, including dodgeball, swimming, and card games at camp. Check out the recording of the play under the Performance Videos tab, and here’s one of our cast pictures:
See you all in September!

Summer Dragons is approaching once again! This year, we will be performing an original parody called Out in the Woods.
For those of you who don’t know, Summer Dragons is where a group of students (and myself) come together for a week to cast, block, memorize lines, and perform a play. That may seem like a lot of work, but it’s so much fun! If you know anyone who is interested in Summer Dragons 2017, get them in touch with me! The dates are July 9 – 16, with shows on the 14th and 15th at 7:00pm. The age limit is 13+ (though I have been known to make exceptions). We have a meeting on June 29 at 7020 35th St W, University Place at 1:00pm.
Hope to see you there!
– Hally Phillips
I just want to thank the cast for a wonderful show and end of the session, and I can’t wait to see you all in September! Once a dragon, always a dragon.
