Drama Dragons New Classes

Hello, my wonderful Dragon Family!  I hope you’re all having a great December and holiday season.

As we are nearing the end of the year, we are working on figuring out how classes will work in 2022.

If you are new or unfamiliar with the Drama Dragons and what we do, here’s a recap of the fun we had in each of our classes this Fall:

In the early class, we played lots of fun, theatre-centered games like “Zip, Zap, Zop” and “Emotional Taxi,” involving some silly improv and physicality.  We learned the difference between “acting” and “pretending,” and we discovered how to build characters into a real people who are different than ourselves.  Near the end of the semester, we practiced our acting with a short script based on the nursery rhyme, “Three Blind Mice.”

In the later class, we spent the first half of our time honing our improv skills with fun games and learning about comedy tenets such as the “Rule of 3” and “CROW” (Character, Relationship, Objective, Where), in order to perform more successful and engaging improvised scenes.  In the second half, we studied how to give a successful audition and practiced with both serious and funny monologues of our choosing, in order to prepare for entering into the real world of theatre.

If this sounds fun or interesting to you, don’t hesitate to reach out to us!  We’re always looking for new friends to come play with us!  If you feel like money is a problem for you, please have a conversation with us; we would always rather have a student play than not!

As of right now, tuition is $75 a month, though that might change, depending on our situation in the new year.  Classes and times are currently TBD.  Since you all are the turning gears that make this beast run, we would like to hear what you have to say about the logistics (times and days), so we can best accommodate your needs.  Here’s a short survey to try to give us an idea of what we have to work with:  Drama Dragons 2022 Survey.

If you have any questions for our leadership team, you can either let us know in this survey, or feel free to contact us at:
