Well, we’ve had a few classes so far this year, and things have gone pretty well, if I do say so myself.  As you may already know, in late April (date TBD), we will be performing The Hysterical History of the Trojan War.  It’s a hilarious concept that mixes archaic Greek characters with modern humor, producing a highly entertaining, very physical, and audience-interactive play that I hope you will thoroughly enjoy.  During the casting process, we realized that we did not have enough students in the Drama Dragons class to account for all the characters.  So, the Stage Centaurs and the Gryffins have joined us!

For our auditions two weeks ago, we read sides (see the Glossary for a definition) to introduce the actors to the characters and the script.  After much intense deliberation, we cast the show.  Here’s the cast list:

Poseidon – Caleb

Cassander – Daniel

Helen – Lucy

Paris – Gabriel

Apollo – SeanĂ¡n

Odysseus – John

Achilles – Nathan

Athena – Gillian

Hector – Emmalyssa

Zeus – Tyler

Guard – Elise

Hera – Juliana

Patroclus – Hannah

Ajax – Asher

Agamemnon – Gabrielle

Menelaus – Daniel

Homerita – Olivia

And not listed are the Homers (a fantastic musical group with a knack for harmony and no previous experience) and many soldier extras, both Trojan and Spartan.  We have a large cast this year, so it should be a lot of fun!  Hope to see you there!
